What Is Delta-8 THC?

Delta 8 THC is a powerful cannabinoid native to the cannabis flower. Delta-8-THC is an isomer of CBD, which is a derivative of hemp and CBD, a cannabinoid found in hemp, and is found in our products with less than 0.3% Delta-9-THC. In other words, Delta 8 THC is sort of a middle ground between hemp, CBD and THC-Delta-9.

Analogue of THC

According to The National Cancer Institute, Delta-8 THC is defined as “an analogue of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) with antiemetic, anxiolytic, appetite-stimulating, analgesic, and neuroprotective properties.” They also stated that “this agent exhibits a lower psychotropic potency than Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-9-THC), the primary form of THC found in cannabis.”

What Is THCB?

Finding THC-B has been an important milestone in the cannabis world, offering a unique user experience that distinguishes it from Delta 9 THC. Although THC-B has psychoactive attributes, it is not as potent as Delta 9 THC.

This has allowed users to experience the sensation of cannabis and not feel too intoxicated or experiencing intense psychoactive sensations that could discourage them from having a joyful experience.

Ongoing research is exploring the potential therapeutic applications of THC-B for medical conditions, such as depression and stress, and although still in the early stages, some experts believe that THC-B has promise as a solution for various emotional and psychological challenges. Apart from its potential medicinal applications, it is quite likely that THC-B could be used for recreational purposes.

What Is THC-JD?

THC-JD, also mentioned as octyl THC or Delta-9-THC-JD, is a cannabinoid that is found naturally in cannabis and hemp plants but is not as well-known as others.

THC-JD differs from regular Delta 9 THC due to the presence of an eight-atom hydrocarbon chain on its side. This chain does not contain a single double bond or a triple bond between the carbon atoms, and it also doesn’t have any heteroatoms like oxygen, sulfur, or nitrogen.

On the other hand, Delta 9 THC has a saturated chain of five carbons that doesn’t contain any heteroatoms. For comparison purposes, you can see the structures of both Delta 9 THC and THC-JD presented below.

What Is THCP?

THCP is one of the many phytocannabinoids present in cannabis, including the well-known THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol), both of which have medicinal applications.

Like THC, THCP has psychoactive properties, leading to a “high” for the user. The unique properties of each cannabinoid cause them to be different from one another, making it challenging to predict THCP’s specific effects on users. Individual reactions to THCP, as it happens when using THC or CBD, may vary.

High Potency

It has been discovered by researchers that THCP offers a potency 30 times bigger than THC. This could have a significant positive impact on medical cannabis patients, as lower doses of THCP may be required to achieve the same therapeutic benefits as THC. However, it is still unclear when THCP will be made available for medical use.

What Is CBD Oil?

CBD, among the various cannabinoids found in cannabis, is recognized for its therapeutic and health-enhancing characteristics. Derived from hemp, CBD oil is blended with carrier oil to achieve the desired concentration. It is possible to formulate CBD oil into a sublingual tincture, a skin-applied topical serum, or a water-soluble form that can be dissolved in liquids for consumption.

Does CBD oil get you high?

CBD oil does not induce a high, as it lacks the psychoactive properties associated with THC, the cannabinoid responsible for the euphoric effect. While marijuana is rich in THC, leading to its intoxicating effects, our full spectrum CBD items contain minimal THC content, below 0.3%, adhering to legal regulations and ensuring no psychoactive outcomes. Additionally, we provide lab-tested products that are guaranteed to be free of THC.

What Is CBD Flower?

The CBD flower is derived from the hemp plant, which is differentiated from other cannabis plants based on its THC content. We source our CBD flower from hemp due to its minimal THC levels. Our high-quality hemp flower has been carefully cultivated to have high CBD (Cannabidiol) content and negligible THC (Delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol) levels.

THC is the compound in cannabis that causes psychoactive effects. The low levels of THC present in hemp ensure that it won’t produce a “high.” Nevertheless, the THC amount is sufficient to activate the plant’s natural properties to take effect. All the natural components of the plant can be found in hemp flowers, making them a genuine full-spectrum product. These products provide the most significant synergistic effects among CBD products.

Nanotechnology

Delta 8 THC Austin has harnessed advanced CBD nanotechnology to achieve the pinnacle of refinement in hemp oil concentrate. Through our innovative methodology, we have achieved unparalleled particle dimensions, optimizing the bio-activity of cannabinoids. This diminutive scale enhances the cannabinoids’ efficacy by maximizing their surface exposure.

As the particle size decreases, cellular absorption becomes increasingly efficient. With each halving of the particle size, the surface area expands exponentially. Consider the significant impact on surface area when particle sizes are reduced multiple times over. This transformative approach not only enhances the potency of hemp oil concentrate but also accelerates the delivery time to cells, reducing it from hours to mere seconds.

Synthetic Psilocybin

In 1957, R. Gordon Wasson, a financial district banker, revealed in Life Magazine his and his photographer, Allan Richardson, encounter with “the first Caucasian men ever to partake in the sacred mushroom” facilitated by Mazatec healer María Sabina. He couldn’t have anticipated the uproar and conversation this event would ignite. Following his exposure to the holy fungi, Wasson arranged for a sample to be sent to Albert Hofmann, the LSD progenitor, who identified its active molecule: psilocybin.

There are 3 primary alkaloids responsible for their mind-altering reactions in psychedelic mushrooms: psilocybin, the main component; psilocin, a metabolite activated after ingestion; and baeocystin, found in limited concentrations in commonly consumed mushrooms.
